University of Washington Business School invited Rajeev Agarwal, Managing Consultant to discuss entrepreneurship, outsourcing and India to evening MBA students. After a brief presentation, the class discussed current impact of economy and future of outsourcing. One of the students asked why India has been able to develop IT services business while other English speaking developing countries have not been able to be successful. Some of the reasons mentioned were close knit families (Indian mothers), lack of government interference and an early support of Jack Welch at GE in giving work to Indian companies.
